The control centers are the real hearts of a Z-Wave network. They are also called gateways. Compared with the portable remote controllers the standing alone wireless control centers have the possibility to configure and run advanced functions such as time and event triggered actions. They are permanently online but consume only a small amount of energy for performing the different operations. Controlled is happening either by local push buttons or using a web browser via Ethernet. Mobile apps give a remote access from a mobile phone or tablet.
